Marla Hiken

As the Director of Human Resources at Verdence, Marla partners with firm leadership to attract, develop, and retain the team behind our client relationships. She oversees talent acquisition, performance management, benefits administration, and workplace policy, and works to support a culture where our people do their best work.

Marla brings more than 15 years of human resources experience to Verdence. Prior to joining the firm, she was Manager, HR Business Partner at Citrin Cooperman, and previously served as Director of Human Resources at Clearview Group, where she built the firm’s HR function from the ground up. Marla holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Cum Laude, from Towson University and is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and Professional in Human Resources (PHR). She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Chesapeake Human Resources Association (CHRA).
