Michele brings a wealth of knowledge to VCA as both an entrepreneur and a marketing professional.  Her career has included roles as an Art Director, Creative Director, and as the Founder & CEO of two startup firms.  She has been featured by a number of network media including GMA, Fox News, and The Today Show. Additionally, she brought her entrepreneurial teachings to The Johns Hopkins University MBA program where she co-opted case studies with the Carey School of Business. Michele understands the pace of a growing dynamic company which makes her very comfortable in this environment. Outside Verdence, Michele co-founded Sisters Circle, a mentoring program for underserved girls and young women in Baltimore, where she currently serves on their Board of Directors.

What lesson or piece of advice from your parents do you find yourself repeating?

“Focus on education. No one can take it away from you, and it’s the most portable thing you’ll ever own.”

What is your favorite vacation spot?

“It’s a tie: Lake Powell, UT, and Banff in Alberta, Canada.”

What makes you happy?

“My three kids and husband who are funniest and most caring people I know; Talking with, learning from others and sharing ideas; Travel, Travel, Travel.”

If you were stranded in the desert, what 3 things would you want to have with you and why?

1.) A Keurig (because, coffee)
2.) My iPad with unlimited battery (I’m a techie)
3.) A Leatherman Tool (because you can do everything from fixing your Keurig and iPad to filing your nails with it)
