Baltimore, MD—July 19, 2021 – Verdence Capital Advisors (“Verdence”), a nationally-recognized private wealth advisory and multi-family office firm, today announced that Ellen Nusgart has joined the firm as Director and Private Wealth Advisor.
Ms. Nusgart joins Verdence after spending more than 10 years as a Financial Consultant with Fidelity Investments, where she was the recipient of numerous awards for leadership, client service, and achievement. She brings a total of more than two decades of experience as a financial advisor and planner, with an emphasis on client education.

An outspoken advocate for empowering women to take an active role in understanding and managing their finances, Ms. Nusgart created the “Women and Investing Forum,” which provides women with the tools and knowledge needed to prioritize financial wellness and planning.

Ms. Nusgart is a graduate of the University of Maryland. Outside Verdence, she is an accomplished musician who plays piano, acoustic guitar, and is the lead vocalist for her band, Southway. Ms. Nusgart is also passionate about giving back her community. She volunteers for the House of Ruth, Habitat for Humanity, and Maryland Food Bank.
